Petrochemical's down stream need governmental support

Oil minister in Asalooyeh demanded for more supports from the government to develop down stream of petrochemical companies. Mr .Kazemi opening 6 huge oil and gas projects in the south east of Iran appreciated the people working in the projects and added:"Iran and Iranian do boast to what we have here for up to 1 decade ago we were just exporters of oil but now we can claim that we really are an independent state."

He concluded:" we are the 2nd country in the world in gas resources so we must try to use it as efficiently as possible and to do so the best way is to apply it in petrochemical plants. Our petrochemical industry should get the help of people to be in stream with the 44th article of the constitutions and privatization. In the past it was the government opening and operating the petrochemical plants but after privatization it's the people running or even building them. Of course privatization must not get to be a cause for stopping the development of the plant and should result in improvement in efficiency and competition. In order to avoid that kind of problems some of the money must return to the industry to be spent on it. Considering the fact that we are under sanctions we must be very meticulous in the maintenance of the facilities."

The 6 projects took 2billion dollars of investment and will have a crop of more than 3 million tons per annum. The projects are the 6th methanol unit of Zagross petrochemical company and butadiene for Jam petrochemical plant, Pars petrochemical company's piers and 3 other developing plans for Mobin and Pars plant.
